- IceCube Summer School 2024 (IceCube Bootcamp)
- In the first week in Madison, we attended the 2024 IceCube Summer School, held from June 3–7 at 222 West Washington Ave. Organized by WIPAC, the workshop covered topics like the IceCube neutrino detector, multi-messenger astronomy, and data analysis, with hands-on training in software tools.

We got the certificate after finishing the IceCube workshop.
- Summer student project (LOM-16 assembly and verification testing)
- This summer, we worked on the LOM-16 (Longitudinal Optical Module), the optical detector for IceCube-Gen2. We’ve joined the LOM team, which focuses on assembling and testing the module. Our supervisor, Yuya Makino, guided us through the LOM-16 assembly process and the verification tests.

We observed the LOM-16 assembly at the Physical Science Laboratory (PSL), UW-Madison, Wisconsin, USA

- We did the LOM-16 Verification Testing. This includes step-by-step checks such as mechanical testing (pressure check, low-temperature test, and connection check), functionality calibration, single photon detection studies, measuring the dark noise of LOM-16, and muon detection studies.

We did the low-temperature test of LOM-16.

We and the LOM team checked pressure and the connection of each PMTs in LOM-16.

We discussed and progressed our project weekly with the LOM team at WIPAC.

We presented our progress of LOM-16 to WIPAC groups.

Farewell party for us at the terrace.
